The BD leader is responsible for overseeing the interaction of global clients and leading the team to develop new business, expands business through understanding the needs of clients and identifying services the company could offer. He/She will identify and maintain a portfolio of strategic client groups, mainly focusing on biotech companies

, and will serve as the ultimate company representative from onboarding to establishing service contracts, while working collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams, such as commercial operation, project management, etc.
The ideal candidate will have experience building a lead generation pipeline, running outbound marketing campaigns, qualifying prospects, and coordinating discussions from early introduction to a signed collaboration.
Responsibilities:
1. Achieve sale targets based on a 3-year strategy
2. Plan, build, and maintain a sales funnel to support development of new business
3. Plan and execute strategy to get in touch with decision makers and influencers at prospective clients
4. Set up goals and objectives for the team and provide feedback to leadership to meet the team's objectives
5. Thought leadership on strategic planning initiatives by making data driven decisions and engaging with leads and other cross functional teams to deliver high levels of overall service and successful execution
Requirements
1. Master's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience in CROs or nonclinical relevant fields
2. 3-5 years experience in a BD role, with a proven ability to understand toxicology concepts and learn quickly
3. Experience setting up marketing and lead generation campaigns
4. Previous experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred, and proven leadership ability, especially in a Chinese company, a huge plus
5. Work automatously to achieve success
6. Ability and willingness to travel
7. Language: English; Chinese will be a plus but not absolute
