• Lead the research team to conduct research and technology development in the field of power electronics, motion control, and data analysis used in variable speed drives
• Execute research projects with on-time completion and high-quality results
• Secure communication and networking with all related stakeholders
• Build long-term collaborations with local academic society
• Scan local science and technology progress in power electronics relevant for variable speed drives
• Adhere to ABB integrity and compliance policies

skills and experience required.

• Ph.D. degree in power electronics, electrical engineering, or control engineering. with 5+ years working experience
• Solid theoretical background in power electronics or electrical drives or AC motor control with publications in renowned transactions / journals.
• Good understanding and working knowledge in o Variable speed drive topologies o Power semiconductors application o AC/DC and DC/DC power converters o Induction motor, PM motor control o Motion control o Data analysis of industrial product o Conditional based monitoring
• Familiar with both analytical and simulation methods used for power converter dimensioning
• Hands-on experience in laboratory work
• Self-motivated, high curiosity and able to work under pressure
• Team leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills
