    about the job.

    • As a team leader, responsible for independently developing and executing the overall translational medicine strategy.
    • Serves as a point of contact for all aspects of translational medicine strategy providing scientific expertise and leadership to programs
    • Enables cross functional collaboration on translational medicine strategy implementation.
    • Leads the design, execution, analysis, and communication of translational research and clinical biomarker studies
    • Responsible for translational science related sections in clinical study / regulatory documents (i.e. INDs, IBs, trial protocols/ops manuals, ICFs responses, CSRs, etc) Provides oversight of external collaborations (academic/industry) that advance translational medicine objectives for the program
    • Apply multiple genomic and biochemical technology platforms to demonstrate target engagement, develop patient selection/CDx strategies. Implement potential novel bioanalytical platforms and introduce new ways to incorporate biomarkers into clinical program designs
    •  Function as an internal expert in oncology and inflammation/immunology translational medicine. Educate/coach other team members through knowledge sharing. Present and report data in external meetings and publications.

     

    skills and experience required.

    • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related field with 8+ years of post-doctoral experience. Experience in leading matrixed clinical biomarker team, and developing/implementing translational medicine strategies in industry setting is a must. Strong scientific background and expertise in tumor biology, immuno-oncology, and immune/autoimmune disease is preferred.
    • Demonstrated technical excellence and expertise in translational medicine; including hands-on experience taking biologics and/or small molecules through clinical development. Experience in the utilization of various technologies/platforms (NGS, immunohistochemistry and immunoassays, etc.) for biomarker research. Experience in bioinformatics and knowledge of biostatistics will be useful.
    • Effectively work in a cross-functional team environment, interacting with various levels within the organization as well as vendors/academic
