The company is a large Fortune 500 foreign-funded company. It mainly produces power electronic devices, vacuum circuit breakers, high and low voltage switch cabinets and their accessories.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position provides environmental, health, safety, energy management and security leadership to Changzhou plant operations. Success is defined through the attainment and continual improvement of metrics that are defined by the plant.
- Facilitates process and provides technical and administrative leadership to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and MESH requirements.
- Chooses fiscally and socially responsible methods and processes of managing natural resources and waste.
- Continuously identifies, assesses, and reduces/eliminates EHS risk (including security).
- Continuously deploys methods of reducing the environmental footprint.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with governmental authorities on matters of mutual concern including voluntary certification, maintenance of environmental permits, submission of required reports, and maintenance of data.
- Complies with Eaton’s ethics policy and keeps management informed of issues associated with regulatory compliance.
- Provides for timely EHS training of employees. Encourages employee involvement in EHS activities.
- Investigates incidents (including near misses, releases, and losses) and accidents to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective action plans.
- Plans to deal with emergency situations that could adversely impact the environment, employees, or the community.
- Directs development, maintenance, and achievement of strategic initiatives designed to produce verifiable world-class performance.
- Primary communicator of EHS messages to employees and management.
