Own the Android client: Build and scale a native, core-product Android application where AI functionality is deeply integrated, not just a thin wrapper.
Design AI-first UX: Create highly responsive interfaces that gracefully handle non-deterministic behaviors, streaming responses, and partial states.
Optimize for performance: Ensure low-latency operations, efficient memory management, and solid application stability across complex, multi-step workflows.
skills and experience required.
Production Kotlin development: At least 3 years of hands-on Android experience using Kotlin, with a track record of shipping to the Google Play Store.
AI integration & ML tooling: Experience integrating backend LLM/vision/voice APIs alongside familiarity with on-device inference using TensorFlow Lite or MLKit.
Asynchronous engineering: Deep understanding of Coroutines, Flow, and building robust apps that gracefully manage latency and partial failures.
Collaborative systems design: Strong familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs, structured data, and working alongside backend and ML teams.
