Job responsibility:
Factory Manager / Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability. This role includes strategic planning, process optimization and workforce management.
key responsibilities:
1. Operations & Production Management
• Oversee the entire manufacturing process to ensure smooth operations.
• Develop and implement production strategies to meet business goals.
• Optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure all production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met.
2. Process Improvement & Efficiency
• Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other efficiency-improving methodologies.
• Identify bottlenecks and streamline processes to enhance productivity.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the quality control team to address defects and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce compliance with local, national, and industry-specific regulations.
• Responsible for formulating, decomposing, and monitoring quality policies and objectives, leading the team to achieve the company's quality goals
4. Cost Management & Budgeting
• Develop and manage factory budgets, controlling costs without compromising quality.
• Optimize resource utilization, including labour, raw materials and energy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement financial controls.
5. Workforce Management & Leadership
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of factory employees.
• Ensure proper workforce planning and allocation.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
6. Safety & Risk Management
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Reduce workplace accidents by promoting safety awareness and training.
7. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely supply of raw materials.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
8. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
• Report factory performance metrics to management.
• Liaise with different departments (engineering, sales, finance) to align production with business objectives.
Job requirements:
1. Bsc. degree or above, major in automation and engineering, with over 10 years of experience in manufacturing and over 5 years of experience in management positions.
2. Familiar with supply chain management, with rich experience in production management, cost control, quality management, procurement management, and logistics management.
3. Having a profound professional background and rich practical experience in enterprise production management.
4. Strong team management and communication skills, able to effectively lead the team to complete production tasks.
