【Job Overview】
- The Director of Medicinal Chemistry will spearhead the small-molecule R&D strategy in Shanghai, leading a high-performing team to advance projects from hit identification through PCC selection to IND submission. This role requires a blend of deep scientific expertise and strategic leadership within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
【Key Qualifications】
- Education: Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in small-molecule drug discovery within Multinational Corporations (MNCs) or top-tier industry leaders.
- Track Record: Must have direct experience advancing at least one project to PCC and a proven track record of successful IND submissions.
- Leadership: Prior experience managing a medicinal chemistry team of at least 5+ members.
【Core Responsibilities】
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute R&D strategies; make critical decisions on project direction, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Innovative Molecular Design: Lead SAR optimization and molecular design based on structural biology and computational chemistry.
- Advanced Technologies: Apply cutting-edge modalities such as PROTACs, covalent inhibitors, and AI-assisted drug design to enhance discovery efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Biology, DMPK, and Toxicology teams to balance physico-chemical properties and ADMET profiles.
