Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Legal Business Partner to join our dynamic team in the Greater China region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in corporate law, compliance, and regulatory matters. This role will provide comprehensive legal support to our operations in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice and support to senior management and business units in the Greater China region.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, commercial transactions, and employment law.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, including litigation, regulatory investigations, and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.
- Train and advise staff on legal and compliance matters to enhance awareness and adherence to legal standards.
Qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in corporate law and compliance.
- Experience working in the Greater China region, with a deep understanding of local legal and regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, commercial law, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with proficiency in Cantonese preferred.
