We are conducting an executive search for a Senior Retail Marketing Manager on behalf of a leading global performance lifestyle and premium sporting goods brand. This role is an integral part of the local Marketing leadership structure, working cross-functionally with Sales, Visual Merchandising (VM), Global Brand, and Retail Operations teams. The team’s mission is to translate global brand strategy into localized, impactful, and commercially effective retail experiences that drive both traffic and conversion.
About the Job
The Senior Retail Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of all retail marketing initiatives across the brand's direct-to-consumer (DTC) network and key wholesale touchpoints.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Campaign Planning & Execution: Responsible for the strategic planning and end-to-end execution of all retail marketing campaigns, including:
- Seasonal window presentations and in-store visual asset implementation.
- Product launch plans and in-store activations (GWP development, customer experience initiatives).
- Local sales promotion activities designed to drive store traffic and sales conversion.
- Mall/Landlord Relationship Management: Develop and execute the mall marketing strategy and action plan. Maintain strong working relationships with key landlords and property management teams to secure premium communication opportunities for brand image building and product campaigns.
- New Store Development & Communication: Develop new store concept in-store communication toolkits and the associated delivery playbook. Support all new store opening (NSO) activities, including high-profile events such as Press Events, Fashion Shows, Pop-ups, and Trade Meetings.
- Field Team Enablement: Ensure all campaign tools, assets, and communication materials are effectively delivered, understood, and implemented by the field team to ensure a consistent, premium customer experience across all retail stores.
Skills and Experience Required
- Working Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in a Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing, or similar role. Experience must cover both strategic planning and execution.
- Industry Preference: Strong experience working with or for Fashion, Luxury, or Premium Lifestyle/Sporting Goods brands (both agency and brand-side experience are welcome). The ability to manage brand strategy within a premium retail environment is critical.
- Design & Aesthetics: Possesses a strong passion and a keen sense of design POV (Point of View), ensuring all retail executions are visually appealing and on-brand.
