KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and implement a global strategy for manufacturing engineering that standardizes equipment, methods, and best practices across six international sites.
- Partner with site leadership to stabilize and optimize existing operations, including machinery, workflows, and automation systems.
- Create and enforce global standards for process controls, capital planning, preventive maintenance, and root cause problem solving.
- Lead the technical evaluation and deployment of new capital projects, ensuring lifecycle cost effectiveness and process capability.
- Serve as a critical partner to Operations and R&D, enabling scalable product introduction and productivity improvements.
- Drive execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring successful launch and ramp-up across global locations.
- Enhance yield, reduce scrap, increase throughput, and optimize labor utilization through structured Lean and Six Sigma deployment.
- Lead and mentor a small high-performance global team, setting clear direction and developing capabilities aligned to future business needs.
- Establish a Global Manufacturing Engineering Community of Practice that shares knowledge, addresses cross-site issues, and champions continuous improvement.
- Govern the Engineering Change (ECN) process globally to ensure quality, traceability, and speed.
- Oversee global capacity planning and plant capability mapping to support demand fluctuations and future expansion.
- Champion a mindset of standard work, process ownership, and operational discipline in engineering support functions.
- Own the Quality Sample Request (QSR) process to ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and cross-functional alignment as products transition from Sales to Manufacturing.
- Drive disciplined engineering review and approval of customer quotes and samples, balancing speed with quality, cost, and delivery readiness.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a global or multi-site leadership role.
- Proven track record of modernizing legacy manufacturing environments, standardizing global engineering practices, and leading through operational complexity.
- Deep understanding of materials processing, equipment automation, and process scale-up in PCB manufacturing or copper clad laminate manufacturing.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering decisions to cost, quality, and service targets.
- Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel globally 50–60%.
