You will lead a high-performing, dedicated E-commerce team of approximately 20 full-time professionals. This team is responsible for end-to-end digital sales execution, covering everything from platform management and campaign planning to content creation and performance analysis. The team operates with an entrepreneurial spirit, backed by the resources of a global giant, and is positioned for significant investment and growth.
About the Job
The Senior Director of E-commerce is a critical leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit. You will hold P&L responsibility for the entire Oral Care E-commerce portfolio across all digital touchpoints in Mainland China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive annual and quarterly all-channel E-commerce sales strategies across major platforms (Tmall, JD, Douyin/TikTok, Pinduoduo, Kuaishou, etc.) to achieve aggressive revenue and market share targets.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all facets of platform operations, including store management, product listings, pricing strategy, inventory forecasting, and digital merchandising to maximize conversion rates.
- Performance Marketing: Direct performance marketing and campaign activities, leveraging data analytics to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty programs (CRM).
- Team Development: Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and effective management to the 20-person E-commerce team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary E-commerce representative, collaborating closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global teams to ensure seamless execution and resource alignment.
Skills and Experience Required
- Total Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in E-commerce, Digital Sales, or Omni-channel Commercial roles, preferably within the FMCG or consumer health sectors in the China market.
- Management Experience: At least 3 years of proven, successful experience leading and managing a large, professional E-commerce or digital team (experience leading a team of 20+ is highly valued).
- Category Preference (Strong Plus): Experience within the Oral Care, Personal Care, or Cosmetics categories is a significant advantage.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of China's digital landscape, consumer behavior, and platform economics. Demonstrated track record of delivering exponential business growth.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) are required for effective collaboration with international stakeholders and reporting to global leadership.
