Oversee and expand relationships with major offline retail clients in the food & beverage industry. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless execution of marketing and distribution strategies across key retail channels (e.g., membership club, supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores). This role requires a deep understanding of the management, distributor, retail operations, customer trends, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver, exceptional value to our largest partners.
- Manage and nurture relationships with top-tier offline retail clients.
- Develop and execute account-specific business plans to achieve sales targets, increase product penetration, and enhance brand visibility in retail environments.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, promotional terms, and shelf space allocations with client buyers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, logistics) to design and implement in-store promotions, merchandising initiatives, and new product launches.
- Monitor sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends for assigned accounts; analyse data to identify growth opportunities and address performance gaps.
- Resolve client issues proactively, including supply chain delays, product quality concerns, or promotional discrepancies, to maintain high client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and retail market dynamics to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
skills and experience required.
- 10+ years of experience in key account management within the food & beverage industry, with a proven track record of managing large offline retail accounts.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and food industry regulations (e.g., food safety, labeling requirements).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels of client organizations.
- Proficiency in sales analytics to track performance and report on account metrics.
- Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast- paced, dynamic environment. Takes responsibility for decisions and implements/executes.
