This role demands a rare combination of direct, deep-domain FX trading systems delivery and full-stack engineering leadership. You will drive system architecture from front-to-back, lead high-performing engineering squads, and deliver low-latency, high-throughput trading solutions within a global front-office trading ecosystem.
about the job.
1. Architecture & Hands-on Development: Architect, design, and code robust, highly available, low-latency FX trading systems covering pricing, execution, algorithmic order routing, trade capture, and straight-through processing (STP).
2. Engineering Team Leadership: Provide technical governance and day-to-day engineering leadership to a cross-functional full-stack engineering team, instilling best practices in distributed systems design, clean code, TDD, and automated CI/CD.
3. Full-Stack Technical Direction: Drive end-to-end technical decisions across high-performance backend microservices and responsive, real-time web trading user interfaces.
4. Front-Office Business Alignment: Partner closely with global business stakeholders, FX traders, quants, risk managers, and enterprise architects to translate complex FX market requirements into scalable technical roadmaps.
5. System Modernization: Drive continuous modernization of core trading infrastructure, optimizing low-latency messaging, data pipelines, scalability, and cloud-native resilience.
skills and experience required.

2. Distributed & Low-Latency Systems: Solid foundation in multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, event-driven architecture, and messaging middleware (e.g., Kafka, Solace, Aeron).
3. Engineering Excellence: Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), distributed caching, and automated test-driven development.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken and written English is strictly required; must be fully confident leading architectural reviews and technical steering calls across global engineering hubs.
5. Executive Presence: Strong leadership demeanor with the maturity to align regional engineering squads with global front-office trading desks.
