The results of the 2024 Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) have been unveiled, with ABB China being voted the Most Attractive Employer in China's Industrial & Manufacturing Sector. This accolade is based on the comprehensive attractiveness rankings provided by the research.
The REBR evaluates employer brand awareness, attractiveness, and the influence of the workforce on the local labor market. Companies are assessed against 10 employer value proposition (EVP) factors, which include attractive salary and benefits, a healthy work-life balance, and opportunities for career progression.
According to the survey, 81.3% of mainland Chinese respondents expressed a willingness to work for ABB China, indicating strong awareness of the company's employer brand. ABB China received high ratings in several EVP categories, including ‘financial health’, ‘job security’, ‘good reputation’, and ‘care for the environment and giving back to society’.
technological innovation and sustainable development.
Domestically, China places a high priority on green and sustainable development. Achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is essential for implementing new development concepts, fostering a new development pattern, and promoting high-quality growth. Globally, due to severe ecological challenges, more countries and employers are focusing on environmental conservation and sustainable development, taking proactive measures in these areas.
Technological innovation is crucial in addressing environmental resource issues. ABB leverages Electrification and automation technologies to help its stakeholders reduce their carbon footprint. The company empowers clients to increase the use of renewable energy sources, enhance energy efficiency, electrify buildings, and cut emissions.
Currently, ABB has seven China-based companies recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as Green Factories, 17 companies that have completed the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certification, and several companies recognized for Green Supply Chain and Carbon Trust Zero Waste to Landfill Certification.
In its efforts to enable a low-carbon society, ABB has set science-based net-zero targets aligned with the SBTi Net-Zero Standard. The company aims to enable a low-carbon society, preserve resources and promote social progress for a net-zero future.
