Key Responsibilities
•
Team Formation & Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and develop a new R&D team in China. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and technical excellence.
•
Site Setup & Operations: Lead the operational setup of the China R&D center, including infrastructure, tools, and local compliance in collaboration with HR, IT, and Legal.
•
Strategic Alignment: Translate global and local product and technology strategies into local execution plans. Ensure alignment with global architecture and delivery standards.
•
Product Development: Drive the development of software components and features for the China market, following AVEVA’s global R&D processed, with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance.
•
Cross-Regional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between China-based teams and global stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across time zones and cultures.
•
Talent Development: Mentor and grow local engineering leaders. Establish career development paths and succession planning for long-term sustainability.
•
Governance & Reporting: Define KPIs, manage budgets, and report progress to global and regional leadership.
技能和经验要求•
10+ years of experience in software R&D, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
•
Proven experience in building and scaling engineering teams, ideally in a multinational or matrixed environment.
•
Experience in developing or delivering industrial software for customers in China.
•
Strong understanding of modern software development practices including Agile, hybrid/cloud architectures
•
Fluent in Mandarin and English.
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
