We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales & Marketing Director to lead our global operations. This critical leadership role requires a deep understanding of the sports and outdoors industry and a proven track record of scaling direct-to-consumer businesses across international borders especially EU and the US market.
key responsibilities,
1. Sales Analysis & Competitive Intelligence
Market Expertise: Gain a thorough understanding of the cross-border e-commerce market and actively track dynamic market trends.
Competitive Analysis: Direct the team to collect, organize, and analyze competitor information, producing actionable intelligence reports.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends to executive leadership.
Performance Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness and Return on Investment (ROI) of sales activities, proposing concrete improvements and corrective measures.
2. Sales Strategy & Planning
Strategy Development: Formulate comprehensive sales strategies and establish ambitious targets aligned with the company's overall vision and current market conditions.
Budget Management: Develop the annual sales budget, monitor its execution, and provide real-time feedback and adjustment recommendations to ensure financial targets are met efficiently.
Departmental Planning: Create detailed departmental sales plans, ensuring smooth execution to achieve revenue goals and market share growth.
Strategy Optimization: Regularly evaluate the efficacy of existing sales strategies, making necessary adjustments to adapt to dynamic market shifts.
Risk and Opportunity: Analyze market trends, research competitors, assess potential risks and opportunities, and propose corresponding market and sales strategies.
3. Sales Strategy Execution
Channel Management: Guide direct reports in developing promotion plans and sales tactics. The Director must be highly familiar with both on-platform and off-platform traffic generation methods to continuously refine operational strategies, boosting traffic and sales volume.
Goal Deployment: Align with the company's strategic planning to guide the breakdown of performance targets across various e-commerce platforms, ensuring effective implementation across all stages.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular analysis of departmental sales data, with a strong focus on cost accounting. Use data insights to make real-time adjustments to operational plans, ensuring the achievement of performance goals.
Operational Oversight: Oversee and manage daily operations, including but not limited to product listing, sales execution, and customer service.
4. Department Management & Development
Team Building: Construct and cultivate a high-performing marketing and sales team, ensuring the achievement of team targets and developing a pipeline of future leaders.
Resource Allocation: Clearly define team members' roles and responsibilities and adjust personnel deployment based on market conditions to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Talent Development: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance overall team capabilities.
Process Improvement: Optimize internal workflows to enhance efficiency and ensure seamless collaboration with other departments.
work requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a management position in cross-border e-commerce or a related industry, with significant experience in sales or marketing.
2. Industry Requirement: Experience in the sports and outdoors industry (cycling accessories, etc.) is a MUST.
Analytical Prowess: Demonstrable proficiency in data analysis, including the expert interpretation of sales metrics and their application in strategic planning.
3. Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a documented history of successfully leading and coaching high-performing teams.
4. Financial Acumen: Practical experience in budget management, ROI analysis, and strategic resource allocation.
