As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for a wide range of corporate, product, and regulatory legal matters. Your core responsibilities include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of commercial contracts, including tech licensing agreements, vendor contracts, cloud service agreements, and strategic partnerships.
Advising product and engineering teams on emerging legal issues surrounding artificial intelligence, data privacy, IP infringement, and generative AI content compliance.
Monitoring and analyzing global regulatory trends (e.g., AI ethics, open-source compliance, and data sovereignty laws) to proactively mitigate operational risks.
Assisting in corporate governance, intellectual property portfolio management, and handling potential legal disputes or regulatory inquiries.
skills and experience required.
Education: LL.B., LL.M., or J.D. degree from a top-tier law school. Bare/CALS or equivalent legal professional qualification is highly preferred.
Experience: 3–6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) at a red-circle law firm, reputable international law firm, or as an in-house counsel at a leading technology/internet company.
Expertise: Deep familiarity with technology transactions, intellectual property (IP) law, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), or specific experience in the AI/SaaS sector.
Language: Near-native or bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) is required for high-stakes contract drafting and cross-border alignment.
